For as long as I’ve been able to read, I’ve been fascinated with the world of stories. Diving in a magical world and imagining things in your own unique way. That’s what book cover design is to me.
I got the opportunity to bring a story of Pihlajapalatsi (Rowan palace) to life in a form of a book cover jacket. Check the results below!

BOOK COVER DESIGN FOR YOUNG ADULT FANTASY PIHLAJAPALATSI

Without spoiling too much of the story: It’s set in a fantastical version of the 1900th century and includes a phoenix character. I wanted to have the feeling of a historical setting, for which reason I chose this ornamental wallpaper. As a final touch I added the phoenix as a little detail in the wallpaper.✨ Also the two protagonists can be found as shadows in the sides flaps of the cover.
